The Eindhoven Physics Symposium is part of the activities of the Study Association for Applied Physics "Johannes Diderik van der Waals" (Dutch: SVTN "J.D. van der Waals") in Eindhoven. With over 1000 members, this study association is thé community for Applied Physics students in Eindhoven. The board of the association organizes lectures, excursions (both foreign and domestic) and symposia together with her members. SVTN "J.D. van der Waals" takes on the task to unite the community of students in technology in Eindhoven, and to strengthen the cohesion within the student culture. The Eindhoven Physics Symposium is organized by the symposium committee of SVTN "J.D. van der Waals". This committee organizes this day with topics at the frontier of knowledge in physics. Daring to look beyond the regular research leads to innovation, discoveries and inventions. The goal of the Eindhoven Physics Symposium Committee is to challenge students. The Committee wants to show that physics can be interesting, fascinating and occasionally amusing.
